Whether you have a starter home, permanent residence, condo, or townhouse, there's one thing you all have in common: You want a floor covering with stunning visuals and countless functional properties–and if it's affordable, all the better.

That's the beauty of luxury vinyl flooring. This versatile, affordable, and innovative product looks just as good in the living room, hallway, and bedroom as in the kitchen and bath. It offers the richness and texture of more expensive hardwood, ceramic tile, and stone, without breaking the bank, together with complete waterproof capability and countless other functional properties.

Affordable luxury for any room

This product is so realistic that even the flooring experts sometimes have difficulty telling it from real. However, you'll know because you won't pay nearly the same price as you would for wood or stone.

Images are taken with high definition photography, with knots, swirls, and grains and veining variations in full display. Stone mimics include marble, travertine and terrazzo looks, and more. Tiles come in brilliant colors and patterns.
Micro beveling and embossing add depth, dimension, and textured looks, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed. For added realism, LVF can be cut into strips, called luxury vinyl plank or LVP or square, tile-sized pieces called luxury vinyl tile or LVT.

Durability

True LVF should measure 8-mm to 12-mm in thickness, which is five times thicker than the original product and comes with a strong, top transparent wear layer. The wear layer protects the floor from scratches and scuffs, and on top of that is a clear urethane finish that adds even more strength and shine.

LVF is also low maintenance, requiring only a regular (daily, if possible) sweeping and a periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Avoid wax, shine promoting cleaners as they can damage the finish and dull the floor. Installation, also, is simple, especially when it's a floating floor where the pieces click together, mat, and hover over the subfloor without nails or glue.
